Magazine Project Update

Hello friends, I just wanted to give you a quick update about the magazine since I know you’re all hanging on to the edge of your seats…

Submission are rolling in! We have 10 contributors for Issue 001. As mentioned, many of the contributors are friends and co-conspirators: folks I’ve met online and IRL who I admire and believe have important stories to share. There is some art, some poetry, some essays. I’m excited to introduce each of them to you and even more excited to chat with them on the podcast.

Issue 001 will be sold through a Kickstarter campaign. I hemmed and hawed over this but feel that Kickstarter gives the project more legitimacy than me selling copies on my website. I’m hoping you’ll be inspired to support the project and pre-order a copy, but also share it through your networks to friends and family that you think may also enjoy reading these stories. Design is underway! I must admit that I love the design work maybe more than anything else. I’ve really been hyper focusing on layout and style over the last week and am being supported by two amazing friends who have volunteered to help with editing support. For those interested, I’m planning on 50-60 pages, 8.5”x5.5” (think of a normal piece of paper folded in half), and perfect bound; colour printed on recycled paper with a matte 100lb cover. I’m all heart eyes over here.
