Meghan Sheffield and Jessica Baitley share their experiences on homelessness and belonging to place in their contribution to the first issue of the Novitas Magazine.
This moved me to tears. I’m inspired by your deep connection to your neighbors. ❤️
This part is really thought provoking: “my most committed practice has been one of non-abandonment, in spite of settler conditioning that rewards movement and loose ties, and in spite of well-funded campaigns to dehumanize certain humans.” It hadn’t really occurred to me that I’ve been conditioned and rewarded as a settler to value movement and loose ties.

Thank you for sharing this, I really appreciate it.
